Robert Syms, MP for Poole, visited the Pop-Up Shop in Poole High Street today to review progress since September. The shop sells goods produced locally at a new Social Enterprise Centre, the former Remploy factory purchased by Bournemouth Churches Housing Association with the generous support of the Dorset LEP and The Talbot Trust. The factory is run by The New Leaf Company, which is working to create a vibrant and creative commercial hub and training facility for the good of the local community.
Hannah Allen, Head of The New Leaf Company, shares her vision: "We want to make something that the whole of the community can be proud of and the enthusiasm for the project is infectious. We can really make a difference to people's lives and society as a whole, and I'm determined that we think big and create a truly unique place."
