Today, Robert Syms, our MP for Poole, visited Shrinkwrap Machinery, a local family engineering business based in Poole. The team there designs and manufactures shrink-wrapping machines for various industries at home and abroad. This year sees Shrinkwrap reach its 50th anniversary in business.
Shrinkwrap is one of the last remaining independent and family-run manufacturers of this type of equipment left in the UK. Sticking to its core principle of delivering a quality product that exceeds customer expectations has been key to maintain its edge on that competition. Again and again, businesses customers return after having tried the alternative and say they want to buy British.
Robert says: “I congratulate Shrinkwrap Machinery, a great British company based in Poole, on its 50th anniversary. It was a pleasure to meet the directors and staff and hear about their exciting plans for the future.”
Shrinkwrap Machinery is owned and managed by Peter and Jeremy Frith. Their father David Frith founded the company in 1967 but handed over control of the business to his sons some years ago, Jeremy’s wife Debbie is also involved in the business in sales and marketing support.
