Robert Syms, MP for Poole, together with Leader of Poole Council Elaine Atkinson and Poole Town ward campaigners Andy Ross and Andy Garner-Watts, attended the launch of the new Pop-Up Shop in Poole High Street. The shop sells recycled goods produced locally at a new Social Enterprise Centre, the former Remploy factory purchased by Bournemouth Churches Housing Association with the generous support of the Dorset LEP and The Talbot Trust. The factory is run by The New Leaf Company, which is working to create a vibrant and creative commercial hub and training facility for the good of the local community.
Hannah Allen, Head of The New Leaf Company, shares her vision: "We want to make something that the whole of the community can be proud of and the enthusiasm for the project is infectious. We can really make a difference to people's lives and society as a whole, and I'm determined that we think big and create a truly unique place."
