Robert Syms, MP for Poole, paid a visit to local employer Liverpool Victoria and reviewed the invaluable work of its employees in Poole and Bournemouth. He met with Chief Executive Mike Rogers and Head of PR Emma Banks and spoke to new and veteran employees the Sales and Service department.
Mike Rogers explained how future changes to pensions in the national budget would affect LV= services:
LV= integral focus on the over-45 demographic is vital to its identity and prestige. None of its unique pension products and services will be sacrificed.
LV= is one of the largest employers in the Poole and Bournemouth area, with 2,400 people in its local workforce. Since 2011 it has spent £100,000 on local initiatives and opened a voluntary call centre to handle donations for Children In Need. This local touch is reflected in Sales and Services, where answers to calls are completely focused on getting the best deal for the customer.
Robert and Mike discussed the company’s stunning transformation in the past year. They covered the LV= diversity campaign, employees’ flexible working hours, and optimum career spans. Customer ownership has proved its worth: LV= is a giant with a heart of gold.
